ROUND TWO - Top 32 Men, Top 16 Ladies. Four Games.

ROUND THREE - Top 10 Men, 9 Game Round Robin.

Top 6 Ladies, 5 Game Round Robin.

1. The tournament is sanctioned by the B.T.B.A. (30/0337) and it’s general playing and tournament rules will govern this event together with the rules of the P.T.B.C and the following special rules.

2. The tournament shall be in two sections; Open and Ladies.
THIS IS NOT A RE-ENTRY TOURNAMENT

3. FORMAT.
OPEN SECTION: In Round one, all bowlers shall bowl six games. The top 32 after 6 games shall bowl a further 4 games. The top 10 bowlers after 10 games shall go forward to a 9 game round robin (with no final position round) with 30 pins bonus for a win and 15 pins bonus for a draw. All pinfall will be carried forward throughout the tournament.
LADIES SECTION: In Round one, all bowlers shall bowl six games. The top 16 after 6 games shall bowl a further 4 games. The top 6 bowlers after 10 games shall go forward to a 5 game round robin (with no final position round) with 30 pins bonus for a win and 15 pins bonus for a draw. All pinfall will be carried forward throughout the tournament.
In either section the Committee has the right to increase or decrease the number of players in the semi-finals and finals without notice but within the Team England Standards.

4. In the event of a tie for the last place in the qualifying rounds, the bowler with the lowest game shall be dropped. In the event of a tie for first place in the finals then a deciding game shall be bowled to determine the champion.

5. Entrants must be members of the BTBA or an FIQ affiliated association.
Entrants unable to show their BTBA or affiliated association card will be required to pay a £5 fine before bowling.

6. Team England ranking points will be awarded according to finishing position and will only be awarded to current members of the BTBA.

7. Dress and Appearance. Bowlers shall maintain an acceptable level of appearance at all times.
The wearing of denim jeans, t-shirts, vest tops, shorts (for men) is strictly forbidden. A bowling shirt must be worn.

8. Entry Confirmation. See PTBC Rule 1 (d).

9. The tournament committee reserves the right to accept or reject any entry and in all disputes and protests, the committees decision shall be final, subject to appeal to the BTBA. A provisional ball shall be rolled if a dispute relating to pin-fall cannot be resolved on the spot. Protests must be made verbally within one hour and confirmed in writing to the tournament manager within three days.

10. All score sheets must be maintained and signed by an opponent from the same pair of lanes (defined where possible as the player playing directly opposite on the same pair) as well as the player. The opposing person signing is responsible for the accuracy of the information recorded. Failure to do so may lead to the loss of ranking points and/or disqualification from the tournament.

11. No bowler will be permitted to smoke and/or drink any alcoholic beverage whilst their squad is in progress.

12. Registration shall be 45 minutes before squad roll-off time.
